Gov. Gavin Newsom today signed SB 899, a new law by Senators Nancy Skinner, D-Berkeley, and Catherine Blakespear, D-Encinitas, that will bolster California’s “Red Flag” law and other state statutes that prevent gun violence.
“Social media companies will no longer have the right to addict our kids to their platforms, sending them harmful and sensational content that our kids don’t want and haven’t searched for,” Skinner said.
