Celebrate Safely this 4th

Don’t spark a wildfire this 4th of July! 

As you are celebrating Independence Day with family and friends, please remember to do so safely and responsibly. In some areas of California – including all of Contra Costa County and most of Alameda County – all fireworks are illegal. 
 
Residents can report illegal fireworks use by calling:

Remember fireworks spark fires, and we all can play a part in keeping our communities safe from wildfire.

I am grateful this Fourth of July to those who have fought and sacrificed to keep our Nation safe and free, including and especially our United States veterans and military members, military families, and our first responders. Let’s honor them by celebrating safely this holiday.
