AVAILABLE NOW: Student Financial Aid

Graphic that shows a diverse group of college students looking up with text that says "Get going your dreams! Apply for financial aid today!"

Greetings!

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA) opened on October 1, marking the first step for students to access state and federal financial aid for college.

The truth is most families need help to pay for college. Financial aid is a lifeline for many of our students in California, and there is financial aid to help you achieve your educational dreams.

FAFSA and CADAA are NOW OPEN, and students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Processing of the applications is expected to continue as normal during this federal government shutdown, and both the federal call centers and California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) call centers remain open to students and families should they have any questions regarding their applications.

CSAC is the state agency responsible for administering financial aid programs for the State of California and helping students pay for college or career training.

You can apply for many programs with one application! Get started today at csac.ca.gov/apply

If you need any assistance applying for educational financial aid, or navigating other state agencies, my office is here to help and can be reached at the contact information below. It is my honor to serve you.
