Grayson sets priorities, outlines goals as new state Senator

CALIFORNIA (Jan. 28, 2025) — It has been an absolute honor to serve our community in the state Assembly over the last eight years, and I feel incredibly grateful to have received the support to continue being a voice for our community and the East Bay in the state Senate.

As an Assemblymember, I focused on addressing California’s housing and affordability crises, increasing our budget reserves and access to higher education, and supporting victims of crimes, amongst other priorities. I was proud to have authored legislation to help build new homes more affordably and more quickly, to help protect tenants from unjust evictions, to ensure that out-of-state students who pay more in tuition are not receiving priority admission to California’s universities over our own in-state students, and to put an end to some of the worst predatory lending practices.
