Sen. Nancy Skinner, D-Berkeley, is the author of SB 1144, one bill in the Senate’s legislative package, which is aimed at tightening regulations to help stop the sale of stolen goods online.

Senate Bill 1212, by Senate Housing Committee Chair Nancy Skinner, a Berkeley Democrat, would go a step further. It would ban institutional investors from “purchasing, acquiring, or leasing” a single-family home or duplex for any reason.

Last week California State Senator Nancy Skinner introduced SB 1212, which prohibit an investment entity from purchasing, acquiring, or leasing a single-family home or duplex.
State Sen. Nancy Skinner, D-Berkeley, today announced the introduction of SB 903, the Ending Forever Chemicals Act. SB 903 would prevent the sale and use of products containing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances — toxic chemicals commonly known as “PFAS” — unless the use of PFAS in the product is necessary and there is not a safer alternative available.
