Dear West County Constituent,
This Saturday, Nov. 7, the West County Health Center in San Pablo is offering free Covid-19 tests. You don't need to make an appointment, the results of the free test are confidential, and you won't have to provide insurance. All ages are welcome. The free testing event will run Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the West County Health Center at 13601 San Pablo Ave., San Pablo.
Contra Costa County has recently experienced a significant increase in COVID-19 infections. If you or a family member feel you may have been exposed to the virus, or just want to be tested as a precautionary measure, take advantage of Saturday's free testing.
Due to the increase in COVID-19 infections, Contra Costa county officials have limited some risky indoor activities, such as the maximum allowed capacity of indoor dining and movie theaters. You can read more about the changes here. If the trend continues to worsen, then Contra Costa County may be moved back to the more-restrictive red tier for reopening as soon as next week.
One way to help stop the spread is for more people to get tested. Saturday's free testing event will also include free flu shots, along with a free food giveaway, free masks, and free sanitizer. You can park at the multilevel parking lot at the West County Health Center.
The event is co-sponsored by the city of San Pablo and United Latino Voices.
I hope you find this information helpful. It is an honor serving you in the state Senate.
Sincerely,
Nancy Skinner
Senator, 9th District
