Dear Constituent,
There's less than a week to go before voting ends for the Nov. 3 election. If you are registered to vote, your ballot should have already been delivered to you by the Post Office. All registered voters were mailed a ballot this year to minimize in person voting and the spread of COVID-19.
If you've been checking your mailbox and have not received your ballot yet, it's possible that you either are not registered to vote or that the wrong address is on file. You can check your registration status here. If you find that your address was incorrect or that you are not registered, you can still vote by going to one of the early voting sites, which open this weekend, or at a polling station on Election Day, Nov. 3.
If you do have your ballot but have not yet mailed it or put it in an official drop box, please do so ASAP. Ballots must be dropped off or postmarked by no later than Nov. 3.
To find an official drop box location in Alameda County, go here, and for Contra Costa County, click here. You can also drop off your ballot at any in-person voting site (polling place) on Election Day or at one of the early-voting locations.
For a list of early-voting locations in Alameda County and the times they're open, go here. For a list of in-person, early-voting sites in Contra Costa County, and the times they will be open, click here.
On Election Day, counties will have in-person voting locations (polling places) that anyone can use. For a list of Contra Costa County sites, go here, and for Alameda County, click here.
Finally, please do not discard your mail-in ballot if you plan to vote in person. Instead, bring it with you to the polling station to show poll workers that you have not yet voted and to ensure that you won't have to cast a "provisional" ballot.
I hope you find this information useful. It's an honor serving you in the state Senate.
Sincerely,
Nancy Skinner
Senator, 9th District
