SB 976 approved, aims to protect kids from social media addiction
SB 976, a bill that creates protections to prevent social media addiction in youth, was approved by the California Legislature on Saturday.
According to a press release from California State Sen. Nancy Skinner, the bill’s author, social media companies purposely design platforms to make them more addictive in order to increase profit.
